The Abu Simbel - The Mysteries of Ancient Egypt Half Dollar Coin is an officially licensed, sovereign legal tender release issued under the authority of the Solomon Islands. Curated as a central focus piece within the highly acclaimed 12-coin Mysteries of Ancient Egypt Collection by The Koin Club, this striking piece pays homage to the legendary Great Temple of Rameses II carved into the mountainside at Abu Simbel.
The design is highly unique, shifting away from standard bright gold formats to implement a dramatic, contrasting deep-shadow aesthetic that emphasizes the architectural mystique of the ancient structure.

Product Design Highlights
  • Intricate Duotone Finishing: Features a highly stylised, raised 24-carat gold-plated carving of the four colossal seated statues of Pharaoh Rameses II guarding the temple facade.
  • Mirrored Hieroglyphic Canvas: The gold facade elements are deeply contrasted against an eye-catching background field plated entirely in dark black nickel and layered with frosted, laser-etched Egyptian hieroglyphics.
  • Scarab Privy Stamping: Features an intricately struck sacred scarab beetle motif resting along the lower perimeter framework, functioning as the collection's official hallmark privy mark.
  • Sovereign Legal Tender Backing: Struck with official legal currency status, displaying a face value of a Half Dollar accompanied by the public profile effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse face.
